Artist's Comments

Yeah, I was lazy in getting this done, lulz. #2 for my Demonic Compendium.

Also, I do not support or condone Nazism so don't attack me if you feel offended in any way. For one, your comment will be ignored so why waste your time? If you feel the need to complain seek out and attack someone who deserves it.

Now on to the character.

The name 'Manna' is basically the name of the foods of the angels. Manna was rained down from Heaven during the times of the Nephilim to try and sustain their hunger, but in the end, it was a failure as they started to devour humans.

---------------

Manna in my story is a bit different from the Biblical Manna. Manna, otherwise known as Selik Himmelreich, was part of the SS-Ahnenerbe project. The SS-Ahnenerbe was created by Himmler to search for the proof that the Germans were connected to the Aryans.

Himmler had an elite SS group under him that was based after King Arthurs, 'Knights of the Roundtable'. 12 elite Nazi SS soldiers were a part of this group. These 12 were then to choose wives that had to meet the standards that Himmler set upon them in order to ensure his project would be a success.

Through genetic manipulation the reproductive cells of these men and women were used to create perfect "Aryan" children. Manna is one of the 13 children created from the project.

His father, Johann Himmelreich had resorted to helping several Jews from certain death, disgusted at the actions of the Nazi party. Later he attempted to assassinate Hitler and inturn he was executed for his treason. Manna became outcasted from the group of children because of his father's actions.

After the war, the German populace turned it's attention to the 13 children, seeing them as reminders of their folly and they brought the children to death.

Before you start to wonder about the butterflies let me explain. In the death camps during World War 2, Jewish children would draw white butterflies on the walls on the death camps to signify hope. With Manna these butterflies represent the souls of these hopeful children who rally behind him. The son of a traitor who in turn also turned his back on the Nazi ideology, they could rely on him to carry on their memory as someone they could seek protection from.
